On the Road

Calais, a border for the migrants who are trying to reach England, is also a peaceful port city in which people walking on the dunes, a roaming helicopter and a mobile ice cream seller coexist. Annabelle Amoros takes a distanced look at a place that has become convergent for so many human tragedies and makes a forward-looking film on a territory in which monitoring seems ubiquitous.
