Ausgabe, Emmanuel Carr\u00e8re, wird in Nyon anwesend sein und am Dienstag, den 20. April von 14 bis 17 Uhr eine au\u00dfergew\u00f6hnliche Masterclass geben.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Diese Masterclass wird aus dem Usine \u00e0 Gaz in Nyon \u00fcbertragen. April&nbsp;und eine Carte blanche, sowie die Vorf\u00fchrung seines Dokumentarfilms&nbsp;<em>Retour \u00e0 Kotelnitch<\/em>&nbsp;(2003). Die Auszeichnung wird im Rahmen der 52. Ausgabe des Festivals vom 15. bis 25. April 2021 verliehen. Partner der Einladung sind die Cin\u00e9math\u00e8que suisse und die Kunsthochschule ECAL.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Emmanuel Carr\u00e8re zum Ehrengast der n\u00e4chsten Festivalausgabe zu machen, widerspiegelt den fortw\u00e4hrenden Anspruch des Festivals, die Bestimmung des Realen immer weiter zu ergr\u00fcnden, in all ihren Formen und Auspr\u00e4gungen, ob im Film oder in der Literatur. In seinem literarischem Werk und in seiner Haltung gegen\u00fcber dem Bild, dem Kino \u2013 sogar der Fiktion \u2013 zeigt Emmanuel Carr\u00e8re ein grundlegendes Interesse an den Fragmenten des Lebens und an den Leerstellen dazwischen. Er nimmt den Platz eines subjektiven Zeugen ein und berichtet in der ersten Person von denjenigen, die ihm nicht \u00e4hneln. Im Beschreiben dieser un\u00fcberwindbaren Differenz sucht er nach Gemeinschaft. Damit n\u00e4hert sich dieser Autor unweigerlich den Ans\u00e4tzen und der Praxis des Cin\u00e9ma du r\u00e9el an.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Emmanuel Carr\u00e8re wird 1957 in Paris geboren, besucht das Institut d\u2019\u00e9tudes politiques (Sciences Po) und absolviert den Milit\u00e4rdienst in Indonesien. Zur\u00fcck in Frankreich schreibt er als Filmkritiker f\u00fcr die Fachzeitschriften Positif und T\u00e9l\u00e9rama und bringt 1982 sein erstes Buch heraus, eine Monografie \u00fcber den deutschen Filmemacher Werner Herzog. In einem viel beachteten biographischen Essai \u00fcber Philip K. Dick (<em>Je suis vivant et vous \u00eates morts<\/em>, 1993) l\u00e4sst er bereits erkennen, was sp\u00e4ter zu seinem stilistischen Markenzeichen werden wird. In der formellen Recherche gelingt es ihm, den&nbsp; romanhaften Teil von ganz und gar wahren Begebenheiten herauszusch\u00e4len, wie er mit&nbsp;<em>L\u2019Adversaire<\/em>&nbsp;(<em>Der Widersacher<\/em>) emblematisch zeigt. Der verst\u00f6rende Bericht \u00fcber den \u00abFall Romand\u00bb \u2013 im Jahr 2002 von Nicole Garcia verfilmt \u2013 wird zum ersten grossen Erfolg seiner Karriere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nun zieht Emmanuel Carr\u00e8re alle Register und wechselt mit Interesse und Leichtigkeit zwischen den Medien. Er ist Journalist und Schriftsteller, Drehbuchautor und Filmemacher. Als Autor der vielgestaltigen Befragung erkundet er den Glauben und unsere Introspektion, w\u00e4hrend die Frage des Realen im Hintergrund immer mitschwingt. In seinem Kinodeb\u00fct&nbsp;<em>Retour \u00e0 Kotelnitch<\/em>&nbsp;(2003) verbindet er russische Geschichte mit pers\u00f6nlicher Biografie. Das dokumentarische Werk feiert am Filmfestival Venedig Premiere. 2005 verfilmt er mit Vincent Lindon und Emmanuelle Devos seinen eigenen Roman&nbsp;<em>La Moustache<\/em>&nbsp;(<em>Der Schnurrbart<\/em>) und wird von der Quinzaine des r\u00e9alisateurs des Filmfestivals Cannes eingeladen. Die Romanbiografie&nbsp;<em>Limonov<\/em>,&nbsp; eine seiner bekanntesten Arbeiten, tr\u00e4gt ihm 2011 den renommierten Prix Renaudot ein. In einem immer vielgestaltigeren Werk befragt er brillant sowohl die Undurchl\u00e4ssigkeit der Fiktion als auch die Sonderbarkeit der greifbaren Welt. Sein aktuelles Buch&nbsp;<em>Yoga<\/em>&nbsp;(2020) ist eine so schonungslose wie intime und humorvolle Betrachtung unserer Welt und der suchenden Seelen, die sie bev\u00f6lkern. 2021 wird Carr\u00e8res neuste Regiearbeit&nbsp;<em>Le Quai de Ouistreham<\/em>&nbsp;erwartet, die auf der gleichnamigen Autobiografie der investigativen Journalistin Florence Aubenas beruht. Die Hauptrolle spielt Juliette Binoche.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In seinem Essai&nbsp;<em>Warum ich das Kino liebe<\/em><sup>1<\/sup>&nbsp;, erkl\u00e4rte Emmanuel Carr\u00e8re: \u00abDer rohe Dokumentarfilm \u00fcber die unz\u00e4hligen Faktoren des Realen, die wir mehr oder weniger z\u00e4hmen k\u00f6nnen, und die zur Fiktion f\u00fchren (oder auch zum Dokumentarfilm), faszinieren mich im Grunde st\u00e4rker als diese Fiktion. Alles, was gefilmt wurde, fasziniert mich, ich sortiere erst sp\u00e4ter und das in einem radikal anderen Verfahren. Man kann \u00fcber das Reale nicht richten, wie mir scheint.\u00bb<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Das Filmprogramm von Visions du R\u00e9el umfasst&nbsp;<em>Retour \u00e0 Kotelnitch<\/em>&nbsp;(2003) und eine Carte Blanche, die Emmanuel Carr\u00e8re dazu nutzen wird, pr\u00e4gende Filme vorzustellen. Dank einer langj\u00e4hriger und fruchtbarer Kollaboration zeigt die Cin\u00e9math\u00e8que suisse im Rahmen dieser Hommage Filme, die Emmanuel Carr\u00e8re inszeniert oder geschrieben hat. Zudem gibt der Ehrengast 2021 anl\u00e4sslich seiner Ehrung eine \u00f6ffentliche, dreist\u00fcndige Masterclass, f\u00fcr die das Festival erneut auf die ebenso nachhaltige Zusammenarbeit mit der ECAL z\u00e4hlen kann. Diese Begegnung wird es erlauben, Emmanuel Carr\u00e8res Beziehung zum Realen, zum Bild und zum Kino weiter zu befragen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Die Auszeichnung Ma\u00eetre du R\u00e9el wird von Visions du R\u00e9el seit 2014 verliehen. Sie w\u00fcrdigt das Werk von Filmschaffenden, die Br\u00fccken zwischen dem dokumentarischen und Spielfilm schlagen. Zu den bisherigen Preistr\u00e4gerinnen und Preistr\u00e4gern geh\u00f6ren Regisseurinnen und Regisseure wie Claire Denis und Werner Herzog \u2013 der anl\u00e4sslich des 50. Festivaljubil\u00e4ums geehrt wurde \u2013 oder Peter Greenaway, Alain Cavalier, Claire Simon, Barbet Schroeder und Richard Dindo.
